Souvenirs!

Hello! My family and I just recently returned from our trip to Disney World. While the weather wasn’t too awesome, we still managed to have a great time! Our little girl, Leanna, really enjoyed herself. She really started walking right before we left, so seeing her toddle around there was fun. Some quick highlights from our trip include:

  • Leanna loved playing in the Dumbo play area more than she liked the actual ride.
  • Everyone loved the dinners at Biergarten and Boma. Even Leanna liked the food!
  • Old Key West resort was beautiful and our 2 bedroom suite was amazing and very spacious!
  • Leanna had her first “haircut” at the Main Street Barber Shop and she smiled the entire time!
  • The weather was less than desirable, but we made do. Leanna wasn’t a fan of the super cold temps and high wind when we first arrived. Our most difficult days were the 2 days it rained pretty much nonstop.

We had such a good time and I surprisingly only got myself 2 souvenirs. Well, technically, the one thing is a set of four. But who’s keeping track!

I remember seeing someone on Twitter post a picture of cups they got at the Co-op Marketplace in what is now called Disney Springs, formerly Downtown Disney. I knew when I returned this time I just had to pick up some things! I saw these plates and just had to have them! They are each different and represent one of the themed lands in Magic Kingdom. They were about $5-6 a piece, so with tax I spent around $22-23. Not bad! They are dishwasher safe, but they are not microwave safe. The picture doesn’t do them justice either. They are much brighter in person.

I saw this little guy and I just had to have him! One of the things I wanted to get this trip was a new coffee/tea mug. And who better than Chip! This cup is also dishwasher safe, but not microwave. One of the little quirks about this cup is that it’s also slightly tilted. It has a little bit of a learning curve to not spill your beverage, but once you figure it out, no more spills! I got this cup for I think $15. Not too bad for Disney prices.

I can’t wait to share more memories and pictures from our trip with you all soon! I already miss it all, but traveling with a kid is a lot different than when it’s just us adults. We most likely won’t be getting back down to Disney for a few more years. I’m so glad we have the memories from this trip to share with Leanna when she gets older.
