It’s All in the Details

If you’ve been to Walt Disney World, chances are you have noticed how much attention they pay to detail. Whether it be detail on a ride, or at a resort, or at Cinderella’s Castle, the amount of detail Disney gives is infinite. When visiting the parks, my husband and I love to look at all the little details that make that area so special. One of our favorite things is looking for the Hidden Mickeys. Some are more obvious than others, but there are some that we have never found. I’m going to share with you today some of my favorite special details that make visiting Disney so awesome.

I love walking into my room for the first time and seeing what design of towels the housekeeping staff has made. We usually get the Mickey Ears like pictured above. Love it!

One of the many Hidden Mickeys you can find in the parks.

We love looking for the many Hidden Mickeys in the parks. You can find them while waiting in the lines for rides, in the actual ride itself, outside hidden in decor, or even at the resorts. It definitely helps pass the time while waiting in line!

Bowling Pin Staircase at Pop Century Resort.

The details you see at the resorts are impressive. From the paint to the artwork and decor, I’ve always been impressed when visiting the resorts. My favorite resorts are the Polynesian, Pop Century, and New Orleans French Quarter. I just love the themes at the different resorts and how unique each one is. The new resort, Art of Animation, is amazing. There is so much detail in the rooms and even the pool area. It makes me wish I was a kid again!

This little guy is found in Animal Kingdom. I love how cool this looks. Animal Kingdom is just bursting with awesome detail and little gems like this guy all throughout the park. I believe I found him somewhere around Dino Land.

Hanging Lamp at Tower of Terror.

I love waiting in the line (but only for a little bit!) when riding Tower of Terror in Hollywood Studios. The amount of detail they gave to this ride is just simply outstanding. There are cobwebs everywhere along with dust and plenty of aged items. It really gives the guest the feeling like they are actually in a real, old, hotel. I love the different light fixtures and couldn’t help taking a few pictures of them. So next time you ride this, or if it’s your first time, take a moment to take in all the little details.

These are just a few of the endless details the Walt Disney Imagineers have done in Walt Disney World. I could post so many more pictures, but it still wouldn’t do the parks justice. I know it’s easy to get caught up in the rush of getting through the parks, but I strongly encourage you to take a moment every day and slow down. Take a look at the flower gardens. Take your time walking through the ride queue and look at all the little nick-knacks and artwork. Take a casual stroll around your resort, or even visit other resorts. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed in what you find and see. Every park and resort has something unique to offer, and to me that’s what makes Walt Disney World just so far above the rest.
